A shaft kiln is a cylindrical kiln consisting of three zones—preheating, calcination, and cooling—and is an upflow–downflow heat‑exchange device with identical inner diameters at the top and bottom. It features a simple, robust structure, requires lower capital investment, achieves efficient heat utilization, and exhibits low fuel consumption, with an annual production capacity exceeding 60,000 tonnes.

It is a provincial-level specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative enterprise, a national high-tech enterprise, an innovative small and medium-sized enterprise, and a municipal technology center. Through industry–university collaboration, the company partners with the Institute of High-Temperature Materials at Zhengzhou University, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, Henan University of Science and Technology, Taiyuan University of Technology, Lüliang College, and focuses on the research and development of homogenized materials, mullite, and ultra‑high‑temperature refractories.
Leveraging the region’s abundant bauxite resources, the company specializes in mullite, wear-resistant mullite, and homogenized materials, with an annual production capacity of 180,000 tons. It operates one rotary kiln, four vertical shaft kilns measuring 3.35 x 26 meters each, and one tunnel kiln, and also offers contract manufacturing services for castables.
The company has established a refractory materials research institute, forged strategic partnerships with four doctoral researchers, and acquired advanced laboratory equipment, including the S6 X-ray fluorescence analyzer imported from Germany. It can provide customers with free experimental data—demonstrating the feasibility of using mullite as a substitute for alumina.
